****SECOND CONTROL PANEL****
PEN
Black, and always draws a line one pixel wide.
SPRAY
Size and content are as set in the fourth control panel (page 8).
BRUSH
See 'Set Brush' (on page 8). The settings in the 'Shapes' control
(see page 9) affect the end result. The shadowing option does not
apply when using the brush.
When 'filled' is on (its name box in black) but 'bordered' is off,
then the brush paints in the currently selected fill-pattern.
With no option active, or with only 'border' selected, the brush
paints in a solid black line.
When 'filled' and 'bordered' are both selected, the line is in
solid black but its end is shown in the current fill-pattern.
ERASER
Left-click anywhere on the picture-screen and pull out the
rectangular frame to the eraser-size required, then left-click.
Move the eraser to the area you wish to clear. The next left-click
will erase whatever is under the eraser frame; by holding down the
left mouse button you can move the eraser while it works.
Right-click to return to the control screen.
TEXT
First choose whether to use the 'System' or a 'Special' font. The
settings for the System font are made in the fourth control panel
through the icon marked 'A' (see also page 8).
If you opt for 'Special' you may need to load in a font using the
'Font Load' function on the first control panel (see page 2).
On the picture-screen, click on where the text is to begin, and
type in the text. Right-click to return to the control-screen.
FILL
Select a fill pattern and click on the area to be filled. (If the
area has a broken outline the fill will flood through. Wait till
it has finished, return to control screen, then use UNDO.)
ELLIPSE and CIRCLE
Will be drawn complete or in part, according to the settings for
'Segmentation' in control panel four (page 8). When an ellipse is
given a Shadow, it appears in a diagonally opposite position to
the shadow given to all the other shapes, including circle. (The
ellipse itself can, of course, be circular).
To draw either the ellipse or the circle, left-click on the centre
point and pull out to the required dimensions, then left-click to
finish. Right-click to return to the control-screen.
CIRCLE (FROM 3 POINTS)
Left-click to place the three points on screen, the program then
draws a circle with these three points on its circumference.
In effect they are contact points which enable you to link items
with a circular line or shape; or produce a circle in a precise
location without having to first calculate its centre.
